SAHİP ÇIKALIM HAKKINDA / ABOUT LET’S ADOPT

Sahip Çıkalım, tek bir amacı olan Facebook temelli bir gruptur: Türkiye’deki muhtaç hayvanlara yardım etmek. Türkiye ya da yurtdışındaki hiçbir dernek, vakıf, STK veya benzer kurumla hiçbir ilişkisi yoktur.

Sahip Çıkalım, bütün bu kurumların bugüne kadar Türkiye’deki yardıma muhtaç hayvanlar konusunda feci bir biçimde başarısız olduğu inancı ile kurulmuştur. Köprüler inşa etseniz bile aradaki boşluğu dolduramıyorsunuz – bazı şeyler asla değişmiyor. Türkiye’deki hayvan koruma sistemi tek kelime işlemiyor.

Sahip Çıkalım Türkiye’deki yeni bir kuşak hayvansever arasında yeni köprüler kurarak – her seferinde bir hayvan ve her seferinde bir kişi ile- bu eski sistemi geride bırakıyor.

Sahip Çıkalım ağı üzerinden gerçekleştirilen sahiplendirmelerde bir dizi koşul bulunmaktadır.

1.Sahip adaylarının, en az bir adet başka hayvanının bulunması, ve bu hayvanla olan ilişkileri üzerinden söz konusu hayvana iyi bir sahip olabileceklerini gösterebilmeleri gerekmektedir.
2.Bahçeli evde oturmakta olan sahip adayları, Sahip Çıkalım aracılığı ile bir hayvan sahiplendikleri takdirde, bu hayvana evlerinin içerisinde bakacaklarını taahhüt etmelidirler.
3.Sahip Çıkalım ağı üzerinden hayvan sahiplenen kişiler, sahiplendikleri hayvan ile yeni yaşamlarına başladıkları zaman, ağın diğer üyeleri ile paylaşılmak ve bloğumuzda yayınlanmak üzere bu yeni hayattan fotoğraflar içeren bir albüm yapmayı kabul ederler.
4.Bazı durumlarda ek koşullar da uygulanabilir.

Ağımız üzerinden gerçekleştirilebilecek sahiplendirmeler ile ilgili bazı temel koşullar da bulunmaktadır. Sahip Çıkalım, tamamen kurtarılmış ve yardıma muhtaç hayvanlarla ilgili bir oluşumdur. Belirli bir cinste ya da belirli bazı özelliklerde hayvan sahiplenmek isteyen kişilere yardımcı olmamaktadır. Bu ve benzeri nitelikteki taleplere cevap verilmemektedir.

Let’s Adopt is a Facebook-based group motivated by one single goal: to help animals in need in Turkey. It has no affiliation whatsoever with any associations, foundations, NGOs or similar institutions in Turkey or abroad.

The genesis to its creation is the belief that all of these have badly failed Turkey’s desperate animals to this day. You can build bridges but the empty space remains – some things never change. The animal protection system in Turkey is not working. Period.

Let’s Adopt is about building new bridges – one animal at a time, one individual at a time – to connect a new generation of animal activists in Turkey with one another and leave the old guard behind.

There are a number of conditions for adopting an animal through the Let’s Adopt network.

1.Prospective adoptants should have at least one other animal under their care, and be able to demonstrate their ability to take care of animals through their history with this already existing animal.
2.Should a prospective adoptant live in a home with a garden, he or she should guarantee that the animal to be adopted through Let’s Adopt will live inside the home as opposed to the garden only.
3.Individuals who adopt an animal through Let’s Adopt agree to create a photograph album later on that contains images from the new life of the animal to be shared with all members of the network and to be published on our blog.
4.Additional conditions may apply in individual cases.

There are also important ground rules in Let’s Adopt’s modus operandi that we would like all prospective adoptants to be aware of. Let’s Adopt is entirely about rescued animals and animals in need. It does not assist individuals who are seeking to adopt a particular breed or an animal with particular characteristics. Inquiries of this sort will simply be ignored.
